DFDS shipping company has been providing connections between various ports in Northern Europe since 1866. The founder and principal financier of the company was a Danish man called Carl Frederik Tietgen. It was established around the time of industrialization, so DFDS facilitated a massive increase in trade that brought wealth and prosperity to the region.

2016 saw the 150th anniversary of the company and one thing they did to celebrate was to build the largest Lego ship in the world! DFDS connects some of the busiest ports in Europe, allowing passengers to move between continental Europe and the United Kingdom and around the Baltic Sea, between ports located in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Germany and France. Their fleet is made up of large, modern ferries with all kinds of services, that allow you to travel really comfortably.
