Novalja has connections with Italy (Pesaro and Cesenatico). The ferry route between Novalja and any other destination is temporarily not covered by ferry operators in partnership with NetFerry.
On the island of Pag, the northern port of Novalja provides connections to the mainland and other Croatian islands. The port also has a marina dedicated to private boats, which offer services, such as electricity and drinking water, to yachtsmen. Novalja has been a safe haven since Roman times and it is in this area that there is an ancient underground aqueduct dating back to the 1st century.
How to reach the port of Novalja
The port of Novalja can be reached by plane from the airport of Zadar, which is about 90 kilometers away. From the airport you reach the city center and from here there are several daily departures to Novalja. The port of Novalja is well connected by bus service to other Croatian cities, such as Zagreb, Split, Zadar. The bus station is about 400 meters from the passenger terminal.
