The port of Oinousses is located a short distance from the island of Chios and very close to the Turkish coast. The port of Oinousses is located on the main island of the archipelago and is situated in a very beautiful natural harbor. In the past the port played an important role, today it offers connections to the island of Chios and with Piraeus. Karlovassi is on the island of Samos in the Aegean Sea rises, it is actually closer to Turkey than to Greece.
