Arrecife is the main port on the island of Lanzarote, which is also known as the port of Los Marmoles. Cruise ships and ferries dock here daily connecting with the other islands of the archipelago, Cadiz and Huelva. The port is a 30-minute walk from the city center. Originally the port was for fishing and later with the development of tourism, it became one of the major ports in the Canary Islands, especially for the transport of goods and goods.
